Donald Payzant Obituary
He was born on Jan. 1, 1933, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to his parents, Donald Payzant and Gladys Curtis Feeney. Don and his family relocated to Enfield in 1968, but he returned to his beloved Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island every summer. He worked for several heating companies before starting his own, Don's Burner Service. He moved to the Somers area in 1983, where he lived until his death. Don enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, keeping his vehicles in impeccable condition, and watching NHL games like a true Canadian.
Don is survived by his children, Judy Salerno, Stephen Payzant, and Robert Payzant; his grandchildren, Paul, Matthew, and Nicholas Sinsigalli, Courtney, Cameron, Laurel, Catherine, and Amber Payzant; his great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jaden, Julie, Anna, and Sophia Sinsigalli; his sisters, Janet Boliver and Linda Miller of Halifax; several nieces and nephews in Canada; and his former wife, Muriel Payzant. He was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Susan; and his sister, Beverly Wallace.
Per his wishes no services will be held. The family will hold a private burial in Prince Edward Island, Canada, in July.

Don shared many camping summers with his family in PEI. Over the years they upgraded to a cottage which was most enjoyable as well. We all enjoyed trying to out do each other with pranks and laughter. watching the fishing boats go out of the Bay and back in before Sun down. Thank you Don for the good things you did for others. Judy, Stephen, Bobbie, Aunt Muriel:
I have very fond memories of Uncle Don, especially when camping in PEI. Playing board games, going to the beach, having bon fires and roasting marshmallows.

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I meet him when I moved my Mother -in-law in. He was a hot ticket!!! I always loved to stop and visit with Don for a few minutes, either before or after my visit with my Mother-on-law. We would always find something to laugh about. My condolences to the whole family. I will miss Don A.K.A. "Mr. 28" , the place is not going to be the same with out him. Deanise Shewokis
