Edith Curran Obituary
She was born on April 9, 1910, in Taftville, daughter of the late Michael and Alda (Normandin) Curran and grew up in Bridgeport.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Andrew and Stephen; sisters Lucy, Stephanie, and Ester Curran. She is survived by her niece, Jeanne Fogler; great-nieces Patricia Mann and Joanne Patenaude; and great-nephew Andrew Fogler; along with two great-grandnieces; two great-grandnephews; and several great-great-grandnieces and nephews.
Edith graduated from the College of New Rochelle in 1931, with a degree in teaching. She lived and worked in Bridgeport until 1984 when she moved to Milford to live with her niece. Edith loved animals and had pets for most of her life. While in care at Fox Hill she looked forward to seeing family pets and therapy dog visits.
Donations in her memory may be made to Allan's Angels Therapy Dog Group, Bolton Veterinary Hospital, 222 Boston Turnpike, Bolton, CT 06043.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fox Hill Center for the wonderful care and love they gave Edith over the years.
Funeral Services will be private at the request of her family.

I took care of Edith all the years she was at Fox Hill & loved her dearly. We had many a lively conversation. I would always make sure her black cat Henry was beside her in bed & at her request would give her her chocolate. And this would be in the middle of the night! I think that was her secret to her longevity! I saw several New Year's ring in with her as she would be watching tv till very late many nights. I will never forget her!
