Ellen was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and cheerleading coach. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, trips and vacationing in Maine, flower gardening, and loved her pet dogs and especially loved spending time with family. Ellen was a longtime parishioner of All Saints Church.

Besides her beloved husband, Donald; she is survived by her loving children, Steven J. Bushnell and wife, Julie, of Somers, James L. Bushnell of Ellington, and Leslie A. To all of Ellen's family. I just heard of the passing & wanted to express my sincere sadness to you. I worked with Ellen for many years at the school & was a neighbor down the street. We used to walk Hall Hill all the time. I cherish so many fond memories of this Lovely, Compassionate lady. I used to come to the house to visit her & the dogs. That dog (120 lbs.) loved to sit on my lap. We laughed so hard. It's been awhile since I have seen her but I was just thinking of her last week. She must have visited me as she passed. I will keep her & all of you in my thoughts & prayers. Thanks for sharing such a Wonderful Lady with us all. I will always remember her.
