Ernest Lescault Obituary

Ernest "Ernie" E. Lescault of Enfield entered into eternal rest, at the age of 82, on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013.

Ernie was the beloved husband of 52 years to Nancy (Donnell) Lescault. He was born on Feb. 24, 1931, in Fall River, Mass., son of the late Henri and Eva (Gagnon) Lescault and had resided in Enfield for the past 52 years. Ernie served his country honorably with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Ernie retired from Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, after over 37 years of service. He then worked for the Somers and Somerville Post Offices for several years. Ernie was a member St. Martha Church, a life member of the Washington Irving, Knights of Columbus Council 50, Enfield, and the Tanguay Magill Post 80, American Legion. He was an avid NASCAR and die-hard Dale Earnhardt fan.

Besides his wife Nancy, he is survived by his children; Scott Lescault of Enfield, Eric Lescault and his wife, Jessica, of Somers, Michele Liquori and companion, Michael Moschetti, also of Somers, and son-in-law, Ken Hutchinson of Maine; his cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey Hutchinson and his wife, Elizabeth, Sarah Hutchinson, Daniel Liquori Jr., and Justin Liquori; and three beautiful great-granddaughters who will miss "Grandpa Bananas." He is also survived by his siblings, Irene Kot, Anita Viverios, Bertha Fitzler, and Muriel Baptista, all of Fall River, Mass., along with many nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Donnell of South Carolina. Ernie was predeceased by a daughter, Denise Lescault Hutchinson, and two brothers, Armand and Raymond Lescault.

Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield.

A graveside service with military honors will take place on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, Mass.

To Ernies Family and Friends:

I met Ernie when I became a member of the K of C Council 50 back in 2001. I used to great Ernie by saying "Hey number 3" (Dales car number) and he replied "hey 29"( my NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick). My sincere condolences on your loss. GO NUMBER 3!
