Faith Simonoko Obituary

Faith "Faye" Marie (Turgeon) Simonoko, 83, of Enfield, entered into eternal peace on Monday, July 22, 2013.

She was the wife of the late John Simonoko who passed in 2007. Faye was born in Hartford on July 24, 1929, daughter of the late Albert Turgeon and the late Naomi (Griswold) Turgeon Surmolian. She was also predeceased by her sister, Constance (Turgeon) Lessard. In her early years Faye loved the beach, gardening, and was a dedicated homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Simonoko, and his wife, Paula, of Shelburne, N.H., Janis Vasseur, and her husband, Gilbert, of Enfield, and Frances Griffing, and her husband, Sherwood, of Cromwell; six grandchildren, Shane Simonoko, Rae Simonoko, Heidi Vaughn, and her husband, Alex, Heather Vasseur, Simone Griffing and Everett Griffing; and two great-grandchildren, Skye and Starr Simonoko. Faye's family wishes to express their thanks to the hospice unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury for their special care. They would also like to express their gratitude to the lovely, caring staff at Mulberry Gardens in Southington, Faye's home for the past year and a half.

There will be no calling hours. Service and burial at St. Bernard's Cemetery will be private.
