Giuseppe L. Michelucci

Giuseppe L. Michelucci, "Pepe" to many of his friends, passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 80.

Born in Lorenzana, Tuscany, Italy, on Nov. 4, 1932, he made his home in Livorno, Italy, for many years before coming to the United States in 1960 to be reunited with his sister and family. Giuseppe made his home in East Hartford, where he worked at the local Coca-Cola Company, retiring after 35 years. He was known by co-workers and management for his diligent work ethic. He refused special treatment, although he suffered a physical handicap that afflicted him throughout his life.

Giuseppe will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his kindness and generosity. He always enjoyed helping people in need, having worked hard all his life to achieve this. Giuseppe was predeceased by his father and mother, Gastone and Maria (Cini) Michelucci. He will be dearly missed by all of his loved ones and friends.

Giuseppe leaves behind his dear sister, Dea Prisk and her husband, Philip; his nephew, Romeo St. Pierre, his nephew, Don St. Pierre and his wife, Patricia, his niece, Sandra Petronella and her husband, John, his niece, Janette Fabrizio, and his niece, Linda St. Pierre; his grand nieces and grand nephews, Richard and Ben St. Pierre, Mike Bieu, Holly and Joseph Petronella, Samuel and Tyler St. Pierre, Leah Vance, and Daniel Molino; and many relatives and friends in Italy.

Giuseppe's family extends a special thank you to Nurse Scott, his PT Laura, and his special aide, Theresa.

Family and friends may gather at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 9 a.m. for a procession to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Giuseppe's life will be held at 10 a.m., followed by burial in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.

Giuseppe's family will receive relatives and friends at Leete-Stevens on Sunday, June 23, from 2 to 5 p.m.
