Helene Welch Obituary
Helene was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Springfield, Mass., daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Szoka) Skowronski, and was raised in Suffield. Helene was married to her beloved husband, Bob, on Oct. 29, 1960, and lived in Hazardville since her marriage. She was employed by the town of Enfield as a secretary for several years and was a devoted communicant of Holy Family Church. Helene enjoyed traveling the Caribbean with her husband, Bob, especially the Dominican Republic.
Helene is survived by her two sons, Robert W. Welch III and his wife, Joann, of Ellington and James P. Welch of Enfield; her cherished grandchildren, Abby M. and Alyssa M. Welch; her brother, Joseph Skowronski and his wife, Elsie, of Tucson, Ariz.; her special friend, Michelle Wright and her children, René and Charlene; and her extended family and friends.
A funeral procession will form Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at 9 a.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery in Hazardville.
Visiting hours at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels will be Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorial donations in Helene's memory may be made to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, CT 06082.
