Irene Fabijanczuk Obituary
She was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Rockville to the late Anthony and Anna (Nowicki) Polinski. She had worked for many years at both Pratt & Whitney and the Phoenix Co. She was very involved in her community, including the Girl Scouts, bingo, and especially liked to polka dance. She was an avid reader, loved puzzles, and was a talented seamstress.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Fabijanczuk of Ellington and Lisa Riordan of South Windsor; her grandchildren, Kathryn, Timothy, and Heather Riordan; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2007; and her son-in-law, James Riordan, in 2011; her brothers, Theodore and Henry Polinski; and Henry's wife Sophie.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. following the calling hour at St. Joseph Church, 33 West St., Rockville. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, Rockville.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Visting Nurse Association, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066.
