Jane Rogala Obituary
Born in Portland, Maine, the daughter of the late Walter and Esther (Nilsen) Connor, she grew up and lived in the Crystal Lake section of Ellington before moving to Tolland 45 years ago. Prior to her retirement, Jane was employed at TSI Harley Davidson in Ellington for 20 years.
She leaves her beloved sons, Jay Auguste, Kevin Auguste and Douglas Rogala and his wife, Sarah; three grandchildren, Bryanne Auguste and Ryan and Addyson Rogala; two brothers, Walter "Butch" Connor and his wife, Sue, and Douglas Connor and his wife, Anne; a sister, Pam Peters and her husband, Larry; her former daughter-in-law, Heidi Auguste; special friends, Anne "Tootsie" Hupper, Frank Padigemis, Dee Bennis and Jessica Bolduc; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jane was also predeceased by her sister, Esther "Snookie" Murray, and her brother, David Connor.
Her family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut and everyone who helped Jane over the years battle her illness.
A memorial service to celebrate Jane's life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Crystal Lake Community United Methodist Church, 293 Sandy Beach Road, Ellington.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Crystal Lake Fire Department, 316 Sandy Beach Road, Ellington, CT 06029.
