John Kostuk Obituary
Born in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, son of the late Stephen and Louise (Zinker) Kostuk, he was a lifelong resident. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had been employed by the William Norton & Sons Farm for over 40 years. He enjoyed his own garden and was an avid fisherman.
Besides his wife Ruth, he leaves three daughters, Debra Kostuk-Smith, and her husband, Matthew, of Enfield, Kathleen Guimond of East Windsor, and Tanya Campbell, and her husband, David, of East Windsor; a brother, Robert Foley of East Hartford; and five grandchildren, Shannon Grabon, and her husband, Scott, Adria Mecca, and her husband, Matthew, Aaron Graef, and Kathleen and Ruth Campbell; and two great-grandchildren, Jakob and Piper.
His family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ladd Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon.
The funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Ladd Turkington & Carmon. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Road, Ellington, CT 06029.
