John Matusevich Obituary

John Matusevich, 74, of Windsor Locks, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital.

John was born Sept. 11, 1938, in Hartford, the son of the late John and Mary (Zdaniuk) Matusevich. John proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and retired after 35 years from Hamilton Standard. He was an avid collector of stamps and enjoyed trips to the casino.

John is survived by three children, Lisa Bourque of East Hartford, John Matusevich, and his wife, Tess, of Windsor Locks and Christine LaBarre, and her husband, Richard, of Vermont; three grandchildren, Marilyn Bourque, Kyle and Mary Matusevich, and several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brother, Walter Matt; and his sister, Elizabeth Kavanaugh.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial for John will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of John may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
