Jack, When your uncle Sam and I were going together and you were just a baby, we would take you to the park on Sundays and everyone thought you were our baby because you looked so much like your Uncle Sam. You will be missed by many and I love you.
Love, Aunt Norma

At your wake tonight, I felt you there. I cried with tears of peace, friendship and more important respect. You will be missed by so many. You are a shining star now and looking down on your loving wife Joyce. Your family gave a great tribute to you tonight. I remember when you almost tricked me into eating turtle soup once at the campground. Memories, I will always have those to hold onto. Love, Peace and Prayers Janet McCann-Blakeslee

Jack, I am sorry that I cannot be there to say goodbye in person. You are a great Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and a mentor to many. You will forever remain in my heart with all of the memories and good times that we shared together along with many other friends and family. Catching too many fish to count. The look on your face when we had to let one go was priceless. Fishing in the Keys. All of the charters, and of course beloved deer season. With a heavy heart I say goodbye for now my friend. Thank you. Enjoy the calm seas and good fishing.

A real man. I can see past mornings waking up and looking out the window of our trailer and seeing, Jack, Jim and Joe cleaning fish. We were getting up and they were already back from fishing. Pondarosa or Salems Farms, they were the fisherman. We will all be together again one day, watching you clean fish again. Safe in the arms of Jesus now. Love Janet and Jay. Lets not forget Gary

Jack, this message is from all your Best Friends. When you let someone get close to you whether old or young they became your Best Friend. You had away of teaching all of us about life, hunting and fishing. You will be missed by all that knew you. Speaking for all your Best Friends we wish to say to your family, we know the pain in your hearts and we know the sorrow, because we morn with you and have our broken hearts. Matt, you have a big legacy to continue, always do what Grampa would do and you'l be all right. For the people who say to Jack "Rest in peace" his Best Friends know better because he will follow the largest deer track in the deepest snow from mountain to mountain, and when the snow melts he will follow that mountain stream to the farthest meadow to fish. This is what he loved in life, and there was no one better. Jack you will be missed but never ever forgotten. Thank you Jack for being our Best Friend.

May Our Lord Bless & Keep You

Dad you will be missed by many. You were a great father, and friend to all. You could spot a deer, all I could say was "where ?" You taught me how to whistle, which I am proud to say you taught me. I went to the fishing derby with the boys, and brought home the trophy, with your help of course. You were at your favorite place in Vermont doing what you loved. You had a deer at my front door after we heard the news.We know it was you letting us know. You are with John now. You had a great summer , and fall. Till we meet again dad….forever in our hearts, love ya….

Dad you will be remembered by many. You were a good father, with a big heart. You could spot a deer and I would be saying "where ? " and there it was. You brought me to the fishing tournament with the boys, and I got that trophy. with your help. You had a way with nature. You were excellent at everything you did. I am so happy you were doing what you loved to do, and from what Friday night sounded like it was a packed house. Rest in peace dad, say hi to John. Till we meet again. Ps. We got the sign from you with the deer at my front door. We were touched to see it after receiving the news.
