Julia Sroka

Julia Sroka, 83, of Enfield, beloved wife of Henry Sroka, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Evergreen Health Care Center.

She was born in New Britain on Nov. 7, 1929, to the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Healy. Julia resided in Enfield for most of her life, where she was a communicant of St. Bernard Church. She had worked at The Travelers Insurance Company for nine years. Julia loved to cook and take trips to the casino. Her top priority in life was her family; she relished every opportunity to spend time with them.

In addition to her husband, she will lovingly be remembered by her children, Marie Provost and her husband, Matthew, of Feeding Hills, Mass., William Sroka and his wife, Collette, James Sroka and his wife, Penny, and Thomas Sroka, all of Enfield; her six cherished grandchildren; and her sister, Josephine Tobey of Minnesota. Julia was predeceased by several brothersand one sister.

Family and friends may gather at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, on Monday, July 15, 2013, at 9 a.m. for a procession to St. Bernard Church, Enfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Julia's life will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at Leete-Stevens on Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 2 to 5 p.m.
