Kathleen Neff Obituary
Kathleen was born on Nov. 17, 1956, in Stafford Springs. Kathleen grew up and lived in Tolland while raising her family. Later she moved to upstate New York with her sister, brother and parents residing in Schenectady. She loved her job working in the Culinary Department of Schenectady County Community College, often calling it her "Dream Job."
Kathleen worked hard and graduated from SCCC in 2008 with a degree in Occupational Studies in the Culinary Arts program. She avidly enjoyed cooking, was extremely talented at sewing and was a collector/writer of inspirational sayings. Kathleen is survived by her mother Mary Neff of Fort Plain, N.Y.; daughters Leslie Ives of South Windsor, and Renee Lydon of Coventry; sisters Peggy Neff of Fort Plain, N.Y., and Jeannine Drill of Leesburg, Va.; and her four grandchildren Landon and Ethan Ives and Avery and Torin Lydon. Kathleen was predeceased by her father Ellery Neff Jr. and brother Keith Neff of Fort Plain, N.Y.
There will be no formal services.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Kathleen's name to SCCC at 518-381-1442.

Kathleen was fun to work with. She had a sense of humor that snuck up on me many times. Once we were in the produce cooler one afternoon and she said how she had seen a small critter. I'm collecting the squash I needed and Kathleen tosses a small vegetable my way! I jumped and squealed which made her laugh heartily. I'll miss her. I recently moved to Colorado and had a nice telephone conversation with Kathleen.

Kathy has been a life long friend of mine. She was very kindhearted and loved to laugh ! Remembering the fun times will help ease the sadness of losing her. She will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
