Kenneth Anderson Obituary

Kenneth "Bob" Anderson, 88, died June 2, 2013, at National Healthcare in Greenville, S.C.

Born August 31, 1924, in Hartford, the son of Archibald and Sarah (Green) Anderson, he grew up in the Boston area, resided in Enfield for over 20 years, and was a former longtime resident of Union, N.H. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a systems analyst at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford. In later years, Bob was employed at DiPrizio GMC of Middleton. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years and later a fire commissioner for the North Thompsonville Fire District. Bob had owned and operated the former Anderson General Store in Union. He was one of the founding members of the VFW in Union, a Mason, and a 65-year member of Unity Lodge No. 62, F. & A.M. of Union. He was a member of the Union Congregational Church, an avid Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Priscilla (Bailey) Anderson, and their two children, Lori and husband, Kenneth Andrews, Kenneth Anderson Jr. and wife, Bonnie; three granddaughters, Kristi and husband, Thomas Joy, Heather and husband, Matt Rineberg, and Kaylee Anderson; a great-granddaughter, Kyla Joy; a sister-in-law Martha Pratt; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three siblings, Marion Martin, Gordon Anderson, and Mary Owens.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, with urn interment at Milton Mills Cemetery.

If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Union Congregational Church, Main Street, Union, NH 03887.
