Larry J. Losa

Larry J. Losa, 60, of Enfield, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013.

Born Feb. 10, 1953, in Springfield, he was the son of Shirley (Menard) and the late Peter Losa. Larry was raised in Fresno, Calif., and on May 8, 1983, he was married to his beloved bride of 30 years, Tina Williams, and together they spent the past 30 years as residents of Enfield. Larry was employed with Hamilton Standard for 35 years and he was a retired member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge 743. A sports enthusiast, Larry never missed his tee time for golf or the opportunity to make a strike while bowling. He also participated in the Hamilton softball league and received great joy from his time spent with his fishing rod in hand. A gentleman with a generous spirit, he filled each day to the fullest. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Tina, and his mother, Shirley Losa, of Florida, Larry will be greatly missed by his two daughters, Michelle Losa and Rebecca Patrie, and her husband, Shawn, both of Enfield; his three brothers, Peter, David, and Richard Losa, all of Enfield; his sister, Linda Subia of Florida; his four grandchildren, Stephanie Losa, Larry McDaid, and Ashley and Alyssa Patrie; his one niece; and several nephews. Along with his father, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Avis Losa.

A visitation for Larry will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road.

Family and friends may gather Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at the funeral home for a service in celebration of Larry's life that will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hazardville Cemetery.
