Lillian Abbe Obituary

Lillian (Drum) Abbe, 83, of East Windsor, was reunited with the love of her life for 63 years, William A. "Bill" Abbe Sr., on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013.

Lillian was born the daughter of the late Mary (Kades) and Harry Drum. She resided in East Windsor her whole life.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Maryann Berry of Stafford Springs; her sons, Billy Abbe and fiancé, Brenda Gaylord, Steven Abbe and wife, Maggie, Eddie Abbe and wife, Donna, all of East Windsor; her beloved grandchildren, Marylou and Lewis Berry III, Billy, Jessica, Jenny, Rachel, EJ, and Kim Abbe; her great-grandsons, Donovan, Jack, and Caleb; and her beloved Boston terrier, Zoey. Besides her loving husband, Lillian was predeceased by her a son-in-law, Lewis Berry Jr.; and her grandson, Steven M. Abbe Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. Burial will follow in Windsorville Cemetery where she will take her place beside her soul mate whom she missed so very much. They will be doing the polka once again.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Stevie Abbe Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Webster Bank, 2 North Road, East Windsor CT 06088.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I remember her and Bill from my childhood days as they were good friends of my parents and I looked up to both of them. Years ago, my mom had a small get-together for me after my HS graduation which she attended and we had a great time. Wonderful memories. Again, so sorry.
