Lilyan Lipman Obituary
Born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Solomon and Rose (Smolar) Block, she grew up and lived in Springfield and Rockville before moving to Florida 18 years ago. She was a life member of Congregation B'nai Israel and was a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Castleman, and her husband, Rolland, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Sioux Bryer, and her husband, Stephen, of South Windsor; three grandsons, Jonathan Castleman of Boynton Beach, Fla., Michael and Deborah Castleman of Chicago, Ill., and Todd Bryer of Gainsville, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Lane Bryer, Jordan and Lauren Castleman; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Leonard Lipman.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Knesseth Israel Cemetery, 95 Maple St. (Route 140), Ellington.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Lilyan was my step father, Joseph Block's sister, and brother
of Ed Block, and I went to school with Harriet Block.
My condolences to the family, and based on Joseph,
a nicer family couldn't be found.
