Mariel Lockyer Obituary
Born March 27, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Scarlett Smale. She was a graduate of Royal Oak High School in Royal Oak, Mich., and a 1948 graduate of Albion College in Albion, Mich., where she was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Formerly a public school teacher in Brighton, Mich., she retired as manager of Walden Books in Enfield. A member of Royal Oak Methodist Church, she attended the Congregational Church in Somers.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are two daughters, Susan (Bruce) Caccamo of East Granby, and Pamela (Duane) Paul of Unionville; two sons, Keith (Lisa) Lockyer and Bruce Lockyer, all of Somers; six grandchildren, Michael Paul, Heidi Paul, Matthew Bentley, Connor Lockyer, Krista Lockyer, and Steven Lockyer. She was predeceased by a brother, Franklyn Smale.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
