Minnie Davenport Obituary

Minnie (Tarasavitch) Davenport, 98, a lifelong resident of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 4, 2013.

Born on Dec. 4, 1914, in Enfield, she was the loving daughter of the late John and Maeilina (Botruniute) Tarasavitch and the beloved wife to the late James Davenport. Minnie was a retired assembler for Dynamic Controls in South Windsor, retiring in 1977. She was a bowler for and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons No. 3062, and a volunteer for the Red Cross blood drives. Minnie was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of its Altar Guild. A caring and loving person she was a great baker who willingly shared her baked goods with family and friends, and she will forever be remembered for her white fruit cake, chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies.

Minnie leaves her three cousins, Margaret and Frederick Warzyski of Enfield, Robert and Linda Poyerd of Ellington, and Robert and Llima Manseau of Massachusetts; a very special friend, Luci Mulé; and several other friends at Mark Twain Living Center. She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Tarasavitch.

A visitation hour will be on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Burial will be held in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
