Pauline Colletti Obituary

Pauline (Caramazza) Colletti, 96, died at home in the presence of loving family Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013.

She leaves behind her daughter, Ann Williams and husband, David, of Virginia Beach, Va.; and her son, Joseph, and his wife, Louise, of East Granby. She will always be held in precious memory of her grandchildren, Sara Willard of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Michelle Singleton of Brewster, Mass., as well as her three great-grandchildren, James Singleton and Maren and Sander Willard. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Breeding of Windsor. She also leaves behind a host of relatives and a loyal circle of friends who will miss her dearly.

Pauline lived a full life. She was recently recognized for her 75 years in the nursing profession, having worked as a midwife, visiting nurse, and school nurse in the Enfield school system. She was dedicated to her children and spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her marriage of nearly 50 years to her husband, Joseph, was a model of loving devotion. She was also dedicated to her faith, which gave her courage and support throughout the years.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 27, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield.

Family and friends will gather 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels for a procession to St. Patrick Church in Enfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to St. Patrick Church Elevator Fund, 64 Pearl St., Enfield, CT 06082.

Joan and I very sorry for your loss. I knew Pauline as my children's nurse at Enfield St. School, and as our school nurse at Mark Twain Elementary, where I was principal. Following that time she worked at many other schools both public and parochial in Enfield, always giving the best. She became a dear friend to both Joan and I and we will miss her very much.

Roy and I are very sorry for your lost. I have to believe that Nana is in a better place and with her loved ones. She reminded me of my own G Grandmother Annie, full of life and had an answer for every issue and I miss her too. As Nana will be missed by all her family and friends.
