Priscilla E. Rancourt

Priscilla E. Rancourt, 55, of Enfield, beloved wife of Joseph Rancourt, entered into eternal peace Monday, July 15, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The daughter of Leroy and Ellen (Hall) Wright, Priscilla was born in La Rochelle, France, and had lived in Enfield most of her life. She was employed by the Enfield Public Schools as a math teacher at Eli Whitney Elementary School for over 12 years. She was a very active member of the Enfield Congregational Church and was involved as a Sunday school leader, youth group leader, served on the church council in many roles, and was a member of the church choir. She was also very civic minded as she was involved with Girl Scouts for over 20 years, Special Olympics Connecticut, and she also volunteered at the Enfield Loaves and Fishes. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, kayaking, and cross-country skiing as she loved spending time outdoors, especially during visits to her cabin in New Hampshire.

Besides her husband and parents, Priscilla is survived by three children, Andrea Ruff, and her husband, Adam, of Windsor Locks, Timothy Rancourt of Enfield, and Jennifer Cristelli, and her husband, Douglas, of Enfield; two brothers, Charles Wright, and his wife, Ann, of New Mexico, and Timothy Wright of Massachusetts; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Anita Rancourt of Enfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at the Enfield Congregational Church. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels on Monday, July 22, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m.
