Robert Gagnon Obituary
He was born Jan. 4, 1932, in Holyoke, Mass., the son of the late Raymond C. and Evelyn L. (Gendreau) Gagnon. Prior to Robert's retirement he was employed by United Technologies Sikorsky Aircraft Division from 1956 to 1996. He was a member of the Rockville Exchange Club and a prior member of the Rockville Elks. He was a communicant of St. LukeChurch, Ellington.
Besides his wife of 53 years he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Adrienne (Lizotte) Gagnon of Westfield, Mass., and several cousins.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. A prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. Burial is private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the John A. DeQuattro Cancer Center, 100 Haynes St., Manchester, CT 06040.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Visiting Nurses at North Center Hospice.
