Sanford L. "Sam" Theriault

Sanford "Sam" L. Theriault, 68, of Enfield, husband of Darleen (Adams) Theriault, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital.

Sam was born Sept. 4, 1944, in Fort Fairfield, Maine, the son of Loretta (Turcotte) Theriault of Clarksburg, W.Va., and the late Gilbert Theriault. Sam proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He was a dedicated employee of Sweet Life Foods, and retired after 32 years, where he was a member of Teamsters Local 559. Sam was a snowbird in every sense of the word and enjoyed spending the summer months in Maine and winter months in Florida. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed traveling with his friends.

In addition to his wife, Darleen of 40 years, Sam is also survived by two children, Lorie Bidmead, and her husband, Michael, of Somers, and Gregg Stewart of Brewer, Maine; two granddaughters, Britney and Taylor Bidmead; a sister, Theresa Riddle, and her husband, Howard, of Clarksburg, W.Va. Sam was predeceased by his brother, Wilfred Theriault.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
