Wilbur Legge Obituary
He was born in Rockville, Sept. 28, 1920, to the late Howard and Edith (Zimmerman) Legge. He proudly served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Luke Church. He retired from Larson Appliance. Wilbur was a member of the American Legion Post 62 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10689 both in Ellington.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his cousins, Dorothy Gessay of Ellington, Carol Aborn of Ellington, Marlin White of Manchester; his niece, Linda C. Roy of Newtown; his nephews, Raymond C. Roy and Joshua Roy of Stafford; his sister-in-law, Shirley Roy, and her husband, Raymond, of Stafford, and many more family members.
Relatives and friends may join the family at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013, at St. Luke Church, Ellington, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow with full military honors at the Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville.
Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066.
Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville, is handling arrangements.
