William Carpenter Obituary
He bravely fought a short, courageous, but unsuccessful battle with cancer. Bill worked as a mechanic all of his adult life, retiring from the state of Connecticut Department of Transportation, and most recently worked for NAPA in Enfield. He loved cars, NASCAR racing, the New York Yankees, Budweiser beer, and his farm.
He was a good friend and an honest man. He lived his life with gusto. He will be remembered fondly and missed by many.
Along with his wife, Lynn, he leaves his daughter, Katharine Danielle (Carpenter) Aguirre and her husband, Alejandro, of Oregon; his grandson, Ash Jakob Aguirre of Oregon; siblings, Clyde Carpenter and his wife, Edith, Mary Corey and her husband, Everett, and Elaine Sika and her husband, Richard; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, William Edward Carpenter Jr. His family would like to thank the staff at St. Francis Hospital, who made his last days as pleasant, dignified, and comfortable as possible.
There are no calling hours. His family would prefer you remember Bill as the strong, vibrant, able-bodied man he was nearly to the end.

We are sorry to hear that Bill has passed, he was a good friend for many years. We saw him at Family ford a year ago and we hugged, talked about old times. He looked good, he seamed happy.
He was too young.
He will be missed.

Billy, I know you are with Joe Z and Joe Fedo having a cold beer and having a good laugh. I will miss our jokes we played on each other and hearing your laugh, talking about NASCAR with you.
