Albert E. Jerome, 87, of Enfield, beloved husband to Carolyn (Springer) Jerome, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018.

He was born in Tilton, New Hampshire, Aug. 31, 1931, the loving son to the late William and Irene (Merrill) Jerome. Albert proudly served our country in the U.S. Marines. Throughout the 1960s, he volunteered with the Hazardville Fire Department. He retired from Pratt and Whitney with over 40 years of work. Al enjoyed woodworking and making furniture. He loved to go camping and traveling with his wife. However, his greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn, Al is survived by three children, Cathy McCary of Killeen, Texas, Stephen Jerome of Norfolk, Virginia, and Alan Jerome and his wife, Angela, of Enfield; a brother, David Jerome; a sister, Sandra Sweetsir; nine grandchildren, Brian, Elizabeth, Kimberly, Colby, Corine, Joshua, Christy, David, and Katrina; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by a brother, Richard Jerome; and a brother-in-law, Seth Sweetsir.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours Thursday, Sept. 13, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Hazardville Cemetery.
