Albert Fournier Jr., 83, of South Windsor, died peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013.

He was born in Hartford and has lived in South Windsor for many years. He was the former owner of General Painting Co. in East Hartford and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in South Windsor. Albert was a devoted father and grandfather, enjoyed painting, being with friends, the UConn women basketball games, but his greatest joy was being with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Martin) Fournier, and is survived by three devoted sons with their spouses, Paul and Joan Fournier of Terryville, Mark and Kristen Fournier of Manchester, John and Francesca Fournier of Fitchburg, Mass. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, Cheryl, Randy, Nichole, and Elaina; as well as six precious great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at 9 a.m. at Benjamin S. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church in South Windsor. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in East Hartford.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their last respect on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
