Anna E. Moran, 99, of Enfield, died peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by family.

She was born in Windsor Locks to John and Mary (Balf) Moran. She attended area schools and graduated from Baypath College with honors. She worked for Combustion Engineering and later retired from Bigelow Sanford Carpets after 40 years of service. Anna enjoyed traveling, she visited almost every country except Vietnam and the continent of Antarctica. She enjoyed the many treasures that she collected during her travels, and telling stories of her adventures.
She is survived by her cousins, Dorothy Ann Cayouette, who was her primary caregiver during the last years of her life. She will also be missed by her cousins, Deborah Bartlett, Robert Bartlett; and her godson, Michael Johnson. Anna was predeceased by many family members, and was the last of her generation.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel McElron at St. Martha Church on Oct. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery In Windsor Locks.
At Anna's request there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Anna's memory should be made to St. Martha School, 214 Brainard Road, Enfield, CT.
