Anthony "Tony" DeSimone, 95, of Manchester, died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.

He was born in Manchester, the son of Ralph and Angela (Massaro) DeSimone and had lived there all his life. Tony was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney where he worked for nearly 40 years. He was a life member of the Manchester Lodge of Elks and a former member of the Elks Bowling League. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, UConn women's basketball, and Notre Dame sports.
Tony is survived by his sister, Irma DeSimone of Manchester; his nephews and their wives, Ralph DeSimone, and his wife, Carol, of Manchester, Joseph DeSimone Jr., and his wife, Patricia, of Coventry; his great nephew and niece, Brett DeSimone, and his wife, Allison, and Wendi Butler, and her husband, Stephen; and his great-great-niece, Layla DeSimone. Tony was also predeceased by his brothers, Matt and Joseph DeSimone.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, at noon at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center St., Manchester, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon.
