Arthur M. Ott Sr., beloved husband of the late Cecilia (Sumislaski) Ott, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Florida.

He was born on April 17, 1922, in Tolland, and resided in Manchester for most of his life until moving to Florida in 1992. Arthur was a personnel supervisor for Hamilton Standard for many years. He was a member of St. John's Polish National Catholic Church in Manchester and an avid fisherman. Arthur always took life's complications in stride and kept a positive attitude throughout his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia MacFarlane of Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Shelly Boswell and her husband, Walter, of Mesa, Ariz., Gavin MacFarlane of Phoenix, Ariz., and Eric Wagner and his wife, Rowena, and their son, Tristan, all of Manchester. In addition to his wife, Arthur was predeceased by his son, Arthur M. Ott Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with a service to begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. John's Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
