Audrey LaVina (Kloter) Bliss, 86, of Tolland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

Born in Ellington, the daughter of the late John and Marie (Hilgenstein) Kloter, she grew up and lived in Ellington before moving to Tolland over 60 years ago. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. Audrey was a beautiful, kind, compassionate, giving person; always putting her children before herself. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved spending time with her family and had a special bond with each one. Audrey loved to read and usually read several books a week. She also loved watching the birds and kept the bird feeders filled even in the summer. Audrey loved animals, especially all the dogs and cats she had over the years.

She leaves her two daughters, Candace Soucier and her husband, Robert, of Vernon, and Heidi Corrigan and her husband, Patrick, of Tolland; her two sons, Jeffrey Bliss and his wife, Cheryl, of Granby, and Gregory Bliss and his wife, Candy, of Newport, New Hampshire; her son-in-law, Wayne Soucier of Vernon; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and several dear friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Holly Soucier (September 2017).

Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours Friday, May 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 7 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
