Audrey Roberts, 88, of Stafford Springs, formerly of Sanford, Fla., wife of the late Orval "Moe" Roberts for 51 years, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

She was born Dec. 26, 1924, in Statesville, N.C., to the late Bert and Geraldine Ayers. Audrey grew up in Washington and Virginia, was married in California in 1945, and resided in Los Angeles, Calif. for several years. Both worked in the aircraft factories during the war. Audrey and Orval raised three children in Florida while residing in Sanford and Lake Monroe for more than 50 years. She retired in 1986 from Seminole County as a school bus driver after 24 years of service. Audrey loved to cook and sew, making clothes for herself and other family members. She also crocheted various items for family members.
A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Darlene Collette and husband, Ken of Stafford Springs; two sons, Wayne Roberts and his wife, Linda of Oak Hill, Fla., and Bob Roberts of Pompano Beach, Fla. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Tom Roberts, Tara Roberts, Brett Roberts, Melissa Roberts, Kim Collette, and Ken Collette Jr.; and two great grandchildren, Catherine Roberts and Tyler Swesey.
Funeral services and burial will be held in Lake Mary, Fla.
