Barbara Jean Daly, 83, a longtime resident of Quincy, Mass., died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Milton Hospital.

Barbara was born on May 26, 1929, in Boston, and was the daughter of the late Wilmot B. and Helen G. (Finnegan) Pray. Barbara graduated from the North Quincy High School, Class of 1947. She was employed by the Family Counseling Center in Braintree for 37 years, retiring in 1994. Barbara had a great love for her Siamese cats, the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots.
She is survived by her sister, Constance Lamond and her husband, James, of Somers; two nephews, Robert Lamond and Steven Lamond; and her niece, Jane Silver. Barbara was predeceased by her nephews Mark Lamond and Joseph Pray.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
