Bernice H. Carney, 90, of Glastonbury, formerly of Windsor, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Hartford Hospital.

She was born in Hartford, the daughter of Norbert and Bernice (Young) Carney, and lived most of her life in Windsor. She was previously employed at the Aetna Insurance Company, where she had worked for over 40 years.
Bernice is survived by her nieces and nephews; Susan Schooley and her husband, Patrick, of York, Maine, Kelly Geary and her husband, Tim, of Glastonbury, Paul Riccardo of Windsor, Mark Riccardo and his wife, Jen, of Windsor, and Maureen Carney of Tolland; her great nieces and nephews Shannon, Monica, and Clarissa Schooley and Cara and Jack Geary; her sister Virginia Riccardo and her husband, Joseph, of Suffield; and her sister-in-law Betty Carney. Bernice was also predeceased by her brother Richard "Rit" Carney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Poquonock.
