Brian H. Maynard, aka "Harley," was called home to see his dad, family, and friends on July 10, 2018, at Rockville General Hospital ICU where he was watched over by angels, Sigga, Eve, and Ginny.

He came to be on July 29, 1950. He graduated from Ellington High School in 1969 then joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served his country in Vietnam. His work life consisted of being a jeweler in New York City, a construction worker, a tree man, and one of the owners of H & D Welding.

He leaves for a while his mother, Edith; brothers and wives, Bruce and Kim, Roger and Bonnie, Dougie and Charlotte; and sisters and husbands, Donna and Dick, Debbie, Diane and Dennis; his godson, Dustin; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Harold; and brother-in-law, Norman Dumais.

A goodbye will be held on Tuesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at the Connecticut Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. If you can't make it to the service, drink a Bud with three or four ice cubes like Harley would be served by his friend Jimmy Popick.
