Charles G. Knight, 74, of Broad Brook, passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, 2012, at Rockville General Hospital.

Born on Dec. 25, 1937, in the Scitico section of Enfield, the son of the late Charles and Hilda (Hensel) Knight. He was the loving husband to Dorothy (Jenkinson) Knight for 55 years. Charles was employed by Connecticut Light & Power Co. for 43 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Liedertafel Singing Society of Broad Brook. He also was a member of the East Windsor Sportsmen Club, Horse Thieves Club, Nassau Sportsman Club, and the National Rifle Association. Besides being a member of his clubs, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

Besides his wife, Dorothy, Charles is survived by his loving children, Janet Knight of Broad Brook, Charles T. Knight of Coventry, Carole (Knight) Henrichon of Kissimee, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Charles was predeceased by a son-in-law, Gerard Henrichon; brother-in-law, David Desso; and sister, Luciene Desso.

Visitation hours will be on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Interment will be at a later date.
