Charles "Chuck" Harrison, 78, of Indian Trail, N.C., formerly of Enfield, the cherished husband of Lorraine Harrison, entered into eternal rest at home on Sunday, March 17, 2013.

Born March 30, 1934, in Richmond, Va., to the late Charles and Mildred Cole Harrison, he served his country in the Air Force, and worked for United Technologies in Connecticut until retiring to North Carolina. He enjoyed restoring anything with an engine, building model cars, riding his lawn mower, spoiling his dog, and spending time with his best friend, his wife Lorrie.

Besides his loving wife he leaves behind his son, Steven Haggard, and his girlfriend, Christina Mitchell, of Indian Trail, N.C.; his daughter, Karen Hembree, and her husband, Kenneth Hembree, of Monroe, N.C.; his daughter, Elizabeth Suleski, and her husband, Stanley Suleski, of Enfield; his son, Mark Haggard, and his wife, Anje Haggard, of Stansfield, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; his beloved dog, Athena; and his estranged son and daughter.

Arrangements were made by Heritage Funeral and Cremations Services in North Carolina and a celebration of life was held on March 20, 2013, at Living Praise Christian Ministries in Monroe, N.C.

Memorial contributions may be made in Chuck's honor to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
