Clayton Emil AmEnde, 90, of Summerfield, Fla., died on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.

He was born in Rockville. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, a member of VFW Post 10689 in Ellington and the Elks Club in Rockville, and enjoyed golf, pool, and bowling. He was Protestant by faith.

Mr. AmEnde is survived by three sons, Gary (Doran) AmEnde, Lakeland, Fla.; Bruce (Barbara) AmEnde, Manchester, and Mark (Barbara Williamson) AmEnde, Summerfield, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Dr. Alan Holden officiating. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
