Clyde J. Yobst, 77, of East Hartford, loving husband of 52 years to Sally (Donnelli) Yobst, passed away peacefully at Kettle Brook Care Center in East Windsor.

Clyde was born on May 27, 1936, in Montague, Mass., son of the late Charles and Doris (French) Yobst and had been a resident of East Hartford since 1958. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving his country in the United States Air Force. Clyde began his career working at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 10 years and later was an industrial photographer for ABB/Combustion Engineering for over 25 years until retiring in 1993. He enjoyed camping with his family, playing cards, shooting pool and bowling. He was an avid bass fisherman throughout his life. Clyde was a member of the Army & Navy Club in Manchester for many years.
In addition to his wife, Sally, he leaves his daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and William Goggin Jr. of Montpellier, Va.; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Amy Yobst of Vernon; his two granddaughters, Sarah Goggin of Williamsburg, Va., and Leah Goggin of Montpellier, Va. He also leaves two sisters, Pauline Waldron of Tampa, Fla., and Patsy Riggleman, and her husband, Wilfred, of Greenfield, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford, will be private.
