Cynthia Louise Babbitt, who resided in Arlington, Texas, died on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. She is survived by her parents, Fred L. and Doris M. Babbitt of South Windsor.

Cynthia was born April 5, 1957. She spent most of her childhood in South Windsor. She started her education at Union School on Main Street. She graduated with honors from South Windsor High School. She then attended the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Animal Science. She graduated cum laude and accepted a teaching fellowship at Missouri University in Columbia, Mo. While at Missouri University, she worked on a Master's Degree in Animal Nutrition. When she completed her studies she migrated to Texas was employed by a major local corporation.

Her ashes were committed to the earth with those of her brother Christopher, who died in 1981, in the historic Babbitt Cemetery located in Killingly. Donations in her memory may be sent to The Order of St. Helena, 2042 Eagle Drive, August, GA 30906.
