Daniel J. Bourque, 57, of Unionville and formerly of Stafford Springs, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at the Hospital for Special Care, New Britain.
He was born in Springfield, son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Buxton) Bourque. Dan was an enthusiastic race fan and follower of Dale Earnhardt, who spent much of his time at Stafford Motor Speedway.
He is survived by four siblings, Robert Bourque, and his wife, Lesley, Claire Niederwerfer, and her husband, Frank, Stephen Bourque, and his wife, Mary, and Peter Bourque, and his wife, Donna; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a close friend, Carmen, who the family thanks for her caring heart.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service to take place at 7 p.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home Inc., 51 E. Main St., Stafford Springs. Burial will be held privately in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs.
