David A. Towers passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at his home Friday Sept. 7, 2018, in Garden City, South Carolina. He was born in Hartford, Nov. 8, 1956, to the late Donald and June Nordell Towers.

Along with his parents, Dave is preceded in passing by his father in-law, Henry Chartier; as well as many special friends over the years.

An outdoorsman at heart, Dave enjoyed golf, fishing, and playing softball in his younger years. His love for softball led to meeting the love of his life, Diane and 30 years of marriage. In 1998, Dave and his family relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from Connecticut. His favorite hobbies included listening to classic rock music (Jethro Tull), searching for shark teeth with his beloved daughter, Amanda, relaxing on beach with friends, and was an avid dart player and Green Bay Packer fan. He also loved playing pool and vacations in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.

Left to cherish Dave's memory are his wife, Diane Chartier Towers of Garden City; their daughter, Amanda Olds and her husband, Logan, of Los Angeles, California; his adoring granddaughter, Scarlett Olds; his brothers, Bill Towers, and his wife, Robin, of Broad Brook, and Donald Towers of Reno, Nevada; his sister, Joyce Boucher and her husband, Rick, of Enfield; his loving mother-in law, Joan Chartier; his K-9 buddy Gizmo; and his best friends, Gordon, Mel, and Steve; as well as a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A celebration of David's life will be held privately and at the convenience of the family, both locally and in Connecticut.
