Donald Scott Eden, 61, of Vernon died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Manchester Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family and close friend, Gary Maynes, at his passing.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., on Aug. 24, 1952, son of Marilyn (Mayers) Eden of Ellington and the late Donald B. Eden, he had lived in Vernon for most of his life. Scott was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his mother, he leaves a daughter, Jayce-lyn Eden; his son, Joshua Bridge; two sisters, Susan Eden of Ellington and Sheryl Tantillo and her husband, Benedict, of Tolland. A special thanks to Gary for his friendship to Scott and the family.

Funeral services will be held privately.

His cremated remains will be scattered on Stony Island, Lake Ontario.
