Edgar Greene, 88, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Jan. 28, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Goldie; three daughters, Jacqueline Leonard, Lynn Cavallo, and Michele Knudsen, and their husbands; as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Edgar was born on Oct. 16, 1924, in Lake Titus, N.Y. He served as an military policeman in both World War II and Korea and discharged as a corporal. He retired from the Connecticut State Highway Department before moving to Florida. He worked at Derby Lane for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Holy Family Church of St. Petersburg.

Wake will be held at Anderson McQueen, 2201 9th St N., on Friday, Feb. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Feb. 4.
