Edna S. Taylor, 85, of East Windsor, passed away at home Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 12, 1933, in Ellsworth, Maine to the late James and Gail (Allen) Strout, (predeceased by sister Gertrude Mosher and brother Allen Strout). She was a faithful parishioner at First Congregational Church in East Windsor for many years, enjoyed activities with the Senior Center in Broad Brook, and loved the Boston Red Sox.

She worked many jobs over the years, including the East Windsor Middle School Cafeteria, but she was most passionate about being a stay-at-home-mom to care for her four children who survive her: daughter, Sheila Taylor; daughter, Lou-Anne Racz (predeceased by son-in-law David Racz); son, Craig Taylor and his wife, Lucrecia; and daughter, Sandra Taylor. Grandchildren, Robert, James, Michelle, Michael, Andromeda, and Stanley; five step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren with another on the way.

The family would like to thank Hartford Healthcare Hospice for their compassionate care to their mother.

Relatives and friends may join the family for a funeral service, Saturday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. at First Congregational Church of East Windsor, 124 Scantic Road, East Windsor, followed by a graveside service at Scantic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Windsor Senior Center, 11 Rye St., Broad Brook, CT 06016, or , 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
