Edward G. Cooke Sr., 81, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Linda (Herida) Cooke, entered into eternal rest Monday, Oct. 8, 2018.

Edward was born April 23, 1937, in Manchester. He was employed as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney for 25 years. Edward was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed music, watching movies, playing checkers, and dancing. He was playful and light-hearted, had a heart of gold, and more than anything loved spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his loving wife, Edward is survived by his children, Catherine and her husband, Brian, of Coventry, Edward Jr. of Windsor Locks; his grandchildren, Autumn, April, Amelia, Brad, and Brian; his great-grandchildren, Alexander, Zachary, B.J., Luke, Timmy, Zoey, and Peyton; his brother, Richard and his wife, Lisa; his sisters, Patty and her partner, Nick, and Phyllis; his devoted cousins, Alana, Craig, and Kelly; and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Ramona.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A procession will gather at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
