Elizabeth A. "Liz" (Rolfe) Mottram, 76, of Wallingford, formerly of Manchester and Vernon, loving wife for 50 years of Ronald G. Mottram, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford after an extended illness.

Liz was born in Bridgton, Maine, on Dec. 13, 1936, daughter of the late Charles and Carolyn (McPhee) Rolfe. She was raised in Maine, came to Connecticut during the 1970s, and had been a resident of Manchester and Vernon for over 45 years before moving to Wallingford in 2011. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Manchester and a longtime member and past Matron of Temple Chapter No. 53 Order of the Eastern Star.
With her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son, Karen Keyes, and her husband, Thomas, of Wake Forest, N.C., and John Mottram, and his wife, Patty, of Copperas Cove, Texas; her sister, Mary Roy of Waterville, Maine; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Officer Kevin Mottram of the Manchester Police Department, and her stepmother, Easter Rolfe.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester. Burial will be private in the East Cemetery in Manchester. Visiting hours are Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 10:45 a.m.
