Geraldine M. (Tobin) Lawliss, 83, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late George R. Lawliss, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at her daughter's home.

Born in Hartford on Feb. 12, 1929, daughter of the late Michael W. and Rose M. (Davis) Tobin, she had lived in East Hartford before moving to South Windsor in 1958. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church, South Windsor. She enjoyed her Wednesday coffee group, social events, and was a member of the South Windsor Senior Center.
She leaves her daughter, Karen M. Gilson; a loving grandson, Benjamin C. Gilson, both of South Windsor; a devoted brother, Jack Tobin and his family of Ringwood, N.J.; a beloved cousin, William O'Brien and his family of Manchester; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Dagon in New Hampshire and Kathy Rucci in Rhode Island and among her nieces and nephews she leaves Michael Dagon and his family who had always welcomed her with much hospitality, especially at special holidays.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford.
Her family will receive friends Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor.
