Hazel (Folsom) Raymond, 86, of Bloomfield, and formerly of Ellington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.

Born in Millinocket, Maine, one of 13 children born to Lee James and Ada (Coffin) Folsom, she lived in Newington and Ellington before moving to Bloomfield last year. Prior to her retirement in 1981, Hazel was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for 25 years. After her retirement, she worked at the CVS in Enfield for 18 years. She was a communicant of St. Bernard Church in Rockville. Hazel enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by four daughters, Sally Grant, and her husband, James, of Willington, Linda Manning of South Windsor, Dorothy Dellaripa of Vernon, and Carol Raymond, and her husband, Paul Brennan, of Vernon; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles "Gus" Folsom of Fairfield, Maine, and Lloyd Folsom of Andover; a sister, Jenny Shorey of Millinocket, Maine; a daughter-in-law, Patty Raymond of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, H. David Raymond; her companion, Rigo Bianchi; and several brothers and sisters.

Her family would like to thank all of the staff at Alexandria Manor for the wonderful care that they gave to Hazel.

Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
